Peer Support Program

Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement is here to support your organisation to establish and run a grief and loss peer support program.

Peer support offers all employees an opportunity to build connection with others in a confidential, respectful and safe environment. Discussing issues associated with grief and loss, peer support encourages greater understanding, support and self-care, while building greater connections and sense of empowerment among work colleagues.

A peer support program is designed to create a safe space for all aged care employees to feel a sense of belonging, connection and safety in their workplace. Whether supporting each other in a group, or in a one-to-one buddy approach, peer support increases morale, productivity and builds community.
